WINTEC has delivered an AquaBlokk® kip sluice with a weight of 54 tonnes, for Ringkøbing. The sluice is part Climate Project Skelbækken, between Ringkøbing Fjord and Skelbækken.
The sluice is delivered pre-assembled with gate, hydraulic cylinders, control system etc., which reduces construction and assembly time significantly – we call it Place & Plug.
Natural flushing system for the sluice gate
Kip port with patented flush system under the gate. The flushing system works with nature’s own forces using the difference in water elevation.
BMS Krangården ensured that the 54-tonne sluice was lifted safely and securely into position.
The port itself is manufactured at the workshop in Brande and foamed before installation in our prefabricated concrete foundation. The foaming fills all the cavities in the gate and provides upward movement in the water, while at the same time, the foam frost-proofs the gate.
